The sneaker utilizes a DMX Foam for midsole cushioning which is coupled by a 3D Ultralite rubber outsole for grip and traction. The 3D Ultralite material is lighter compared to standard outsoles. Some were disappointed with the DMX Foam cushioning. As they point out, it was not the same cushioning of the original Answer IV which has sufficient cushioning and is not stiff.
